Peggy Newfield's family has been involved in the etiquette industry since 1932. Growing up, she was fascinated by discussions of the training that was being conducted by family members for different cultures, in protocol, dance and deportment.
She began teaching etiquette to children in 1979. Peggy's syllabus was created "in the trenches" with the children, listening intently to what they wanted to learn and combining what she thought they should learn. To date over 10,000 boys and girls from 1st through 12th grades have participated in her classes. In 1985, a two-week European program, Ritz Week and Corporate Training were added. In 1992, the Kessler Report tagged Personal Best, Inc., as one of the fastest growing entrepreneurial companies in the country. Today, Personal Best's training division, The American School of Protocol®, certifies women and men to be children's etiquette consultants within their communities. Every major American TV channel, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and Fox, has profiled Peggy Newfield's etiquette training. The BBC sent a team from the United Kingdom to do a lead story on her etiquette training with children, which was aired around the world. Peggy is also an official pageant judge for the "Miss America" organization. Business to Business Magazine selected and recognized Peggy as one of Atlanta's top female businesswomen.
